About meI started by just making some cushions for around the house and for the kids. My partner suggested why not sell them? To be honest at first I really didn't think they were good enough to sell as I am just beginning and still learning each time I get out the sewing machine. So anyway, he put a post on his Facebook page and the interest began.
I watched many tutorials, to get to grasps with the basics techniques, had a look at various different materials (cotton is my favourite) and started making, while still watching videos to help with ideas of designs. I watched quilting videos more than anything else, so I could get ideas on different designs; then scaling them and changing the pattern sizes to fit the cushions. Since starting out, I have greatly expanded my product range, offer a range of custom items and continue to grow the business. |
